HAMILTON'S ANNUAL MUSHROOM FORAY
NORDMARKA FOREST (NORWAY) | SEPTEMBER 7-14TH, 2025
Welcome to this year's special mycology session in Norway!
This is the third chapter of our mushroom-hunting adventures with Hamilton—this time, we’re heading deep into the southern taiga and the magnificent Nordmarka forest.
In this introduction to mushroom foraging, you’ll gain essential knowledge about edible fungi: how to identify them, harvest them responsibly, and prepare them for the table. This session is designed for nature lovers, curious beginners who haven’t yet found a mentor, and culinary explorers of all kinds.
Norwegian forests—like those in the Alps or the Rockies—are brimming with delicious wild mushrooms. We'll teach you how to find and identify wild mushrooms and share how to cook them safely for optimal flavor.
This hands-on workshop is perfect for those with no prior experience. It’s an accessible, immersive way to build confidence before setting off on your own mushrooming adventures.
And of course, we’ll wrap up our expedition in Oslo, the “tiger city.” Expect stunning views of the fjord, local delicacies, and a glass of aquavit by the harbor. Then for the bold, a taste of the city’s nightlife, or for those seeking calm, a sauna session.
